JCYC Chicago

Joseph Conrad Yacht Club was founded in 1969 by a group of Polish students at University of Illinois-Chicago. The Mission of the organization is to advance and sustain sailing skills and traditions within the Polish Community in Chicago, and expand the organization by attracting young sailors of Polish heritage.  The other objective is to provide visibility for the contributions of Polish sailors to exploration of the oceans, and to foster closer relations among other professionals of related fields. The organization sponsors regattas and frequently organizes sailing cruises in the Caribbean.
Currently our group has about 50 members and a larger group of supporters who attend some of the meetings prior to submitting a formal application to our organization.

This year, the club purchased a new vessel which will serve club meetings, entertainment, and as a relaxation spot for all club members, enthusiastic sailors, and friends.
The club boat will be launched in the spring of 2013 and dock in the 31-st street Chicago Harbor.
Anyone who would like to join JCYC sailing community is welcome !!!
